The DSL seminar is aimed to discuss papers and research projects in distributed systems and grid computing. For the current Winter 2008 quarter, the seminar meets every Tuesday at 4:30PM in RI 405 (4th floor in the Research Institute)
SCHEDULE: has the schedule of talks as well as papers being discussed this quarter.
Topics to be discussed:

- Computing Utilities
- High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Large Scale Applications and Systems
- Peer-to-Peer Networking (P2P)
- Resource Discovery
- Grids & Virtualization
READING LIST (PAPERS): potential papers for discussion during the seminar
PUBLISHING VENUES: Some of the conferences, workshops, and journals which are known to be very selective and good in the areas of Grids, Distributed systems, Networks and Operating Systems, etc...
We'll meet weekly for about one hour and discuss one of the following items:
- ongoing research of a seminar participant: e.g., a conference practice talk, you have a great idea an would like to see what people think, a short presentation of your internship work over the summer. Ideally we should take turns and hear everyone speak at least once every quarter.
- one interesting research papers
